Developing a Healthy Relationship with Your Dog

Dog’s may be a man’s best friend but a dog is still a dog. Attributing human emotions to your dog natural because you love them. However, ignoring differences in intent is not healthy for you or your dog. Your dog depends on you for guidance on how to behave. Your dog does not misbehave by choice to get attention or to get even with you is not good. Similarly, punishing your dog for being a dog without giving your dog proper guidance is just not fair and contrary to obedience training. Without guidance and training, your dog will chew and dig and bark and jump up and do all those behaviors you wish they wouldn’t. Love your furry friend but to avoid having a pet who acts like a petulant child, you need to be a good owner and provide consistent guidance and training.
